Sydney’s Chinatown is a warren-like enclave that’s home to heaving yum cha palaces, basement food courts ladling legendary ramen and food emporiums stocking ingredients that range from the everyday to the further-flung. As contributing editor, I wrote and edited a food lover’s guide to this historic part of the city for Urban Walkabout and the City of Sydney. Along with information about Chinatown’s most-loved dining institutions, the guide includes a primer on yum cha etiquette and a visual glossary for doing your food shopping. Circulation: 50,000 copies.
